- > born on 7th October 1991 in los angeles, california. a blood type A. she grew up in Glendale, California, and attended Mark Keppel Elementary and Toll Middle School. she auditioned for DSP Entertainment in California. she sent in a video of her singing an Ivy and Black Eyed Peas song. her mother was very supportive of her decision to join DSP and go to Korea. she experienced hardships learning the language and missing her friends in the States.

she debuted with KARA in March 29, 2007. then, it was a four membered group with gyuri, seungyeon, and sunghee. she was appointed lead rapper and dancer. she was the maknae. the group dynamic changed as sunghee left and jiyoung and hara came in. she was now eternally the maknae along with the real maknae, jiyoung.

joined Star Golden Bell in zdecember 20, 2008. had a segment called ‘Level With Me’. joined The Entertainer’s Introduction to Veterinary Science on November 2009. joined Heroes on July 2010. launched her own cookie line called ‘Kuki Six’ through the Mango Six cafes.
